Description

Cartography is a platform conforming excellently to the needs of education if used properly. By 1932, Pirmin Iturriotz, a pioneer of educational publishing in Basque language, introduced cartography in his geography guidebook Lutelestia. Depending on the dialect used in the edition, ‘Gipuzkeraz’ or ‘Bizkayeraz’, i.e. Gipuzkoan or Biscayan, the Country is labelled either ‘Euskaleia’ or ‘Euskadi’.
