Description
The prolific publisher Bernardo Estornes, Navarrese from Erronkari, undertook the Enciclopedia Auñamendi, monumental work of Basque publishing. In 1932, he drew up a map of Euzkadi-Vasconia accompanying several publications on the history of the Basque Country. It is another early “Basque nationalist” map, featuring six Basque provinces, as both Navarres are merged into a single territory, along the lines of this political trend. This sort of maps found an echo on the Basque diaspora, such as the one published years later in Santiago de Chile.
