Description

Count Henry Russell, member of both the Geographical Society and the Geological Society of France and an outstanding traveller, was one of the early proponents of the outings to the Pyrenees. He published Biarritz and the Basque Countries at the threshold of touristy interest, including this map pinpointing the limits of Basque language usage in 1872.
