Description

The auspicious collaboration of the cartographer Cantelli with the publisher Rossi in the late 17th century delivered maps not confined to the Iberian Peninsula. This depiction of the Atlantic coast labels the continental Basque Country as the land of “Li Basqui”, with the inscription “Kantabria” straddling the territories of “Biscaia” and “Regno di Navarra”.
