Description

Antropomorphic depiction of Europa shaped as a queen, created in 1537 by its Tyrolese author Johannes Pustch. Its success laid out the grounds for further reproductions in later works. Bünting’s example saw an important distribution, showing “Navarra” appearing over the left ear, under the Pyrenees, next to “Hispania”, “Arragoni” and “Lusitania”.
