During these years, production of global cartography of the Basque Country is virtually inexistent. These circumstances add further value to this map signed at Donostia in the year 1961, not that we know much about it. It invokes the phrase from the classic Basque writer Joanes Etxeberri: “Iruñea, euskaldunen hiri buruzagia” (Iruñea, capital of the Basques).
