Description

The title of this map refers back to Merladet’s project for the 1894 Floral Games in Donostia, held under the motto “Euskaria para los euskaros” [Euskaria for the Basque people]. In the early 20th century, it shows the full extent of the Basque Country, which following certain tradition and according to custom, calls “Vascongadas” to the seven Basque provinces.
