Description
In the mid-17th century, different religious orders started to publish atlases aimed at describing their own establishments. This copy belonging to the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin saw its first publication at Rome in 1643, later reedited in Turin (1649) and Milan (1712 and 1721). Despite the continental Basque Country’s inclusión in the province of “Aquitaniae”, this map of Navarre actually represents the whole Vasconia.
