Ptolomy’s work Geographia across the Christian West saw the incorporation of contemporary maps during the 16th century. In this example, supervised and annotated by Miguel Servet, an Aragonese or possibly a Navarrese from Tudela, “Bishaia” applies to the territory extending north from the Ebro River until Baiona.
