Description
During the first third of the 20th century, the Basque regional councils encouraged topographic studies with a view to obtaining the basis necessary for the launch of infrastructure of any kind. In either this example of Navarre or that of Biscay, publication of the resulting maps had to be done in workshops located outside the Basque area.
